2: Shopping at the farmers market is good for the local economy.

When you purc12002942_436378923230314_6269272350061844014_nhase items from a farmer’s market, your dollars help a Washington state farmer pay his monthly bills. They help send a kid to summer camp. They put food on a family’s table. Bottom line, when you shop local, you make your money count.

3. The Marysville Farmers Market is non-profit.

Your patronage does not only support the vendors. It also support the market itself, which is part of a non-profit organization called Allen Creek Community Center. Proceeds made by the farmers 11813522_10207310359587396_8755389004714266381_n.jpgmarket will be used to fund things like transitional housing in Marysville.

4. It’s a family-friendly environment.

The Marysville Farmers Market is a tobacco, alcohol, and drug-free environment. We encourage parents to bring their kids to the market. There will be live music most weeks and a shaded seating area is provided for those who want to stay a while and enjoy the atmosphere. Best of all, our open market layout allows space for kids to play.

5. The Produce is SO FRESH!

Seriously, once you taste berries that were picked fresh for market day, you’ll have a tough time buying the ones that traveled 1,500 miles to your grocery store ever again. It’s just not the same.

Come see us at 9:00 AM at 1035 State Ave in Marysville. We hope to see you there!
