Opening Day Highlights

Thank you to everyone who came out to kick off our 2016

season today! Here are some highlights:

We had over 800 customers for opening day!

Live music was provided by Paul Erickson, a classical guitarist.

We welcomed “Colors By Carla” to the market for the first time. She brought supplies and helped visitors make custom tie-dye pieces in all different patterns and colors.

There were four growers in addition to our food hub selling fresh produce at the market for opening day, which is pretty great considering how early in the season it is. As we move into summer, our selection of produce is only expected to improve.

*For the best selection, it is always best to get to the market early!

Thank you Skinny Kitty Farm, Clear Valley Farm, Tualco Valley, Hayton Farms, and food hub growers (Equs Farms, Biringer Farm, and Farmer Frog) for being a part of opening day!

We had a great variety of homemade goods from Dandelion Farms Soap, Vivid Experience wax melts and candles, Awesome Blossom yard art, Boho Chic bags, and Frontier Flyers Honey.

Customers also were able to help support a local middle school student raise money for an upcoming school trip by buying sets of cards made from her photographs.

Our new sand table was a huge hit in the kids area! We also had bubbles and sidewalk chalk out, which someone cleverly used to make sure any low-flying aircraft would know what was happening under all the tents:

Premier Upper Cervical Chiropractic was on site providing information about their practice, and many customers left the market with bright bouquets of fresh flowers from Yang Xiong Garden.

Opening day was fantastic, and we want to make every coming week just as good. Here is how you can help:

  • Shop at the market!
  • Spread the word by liking our Facebook and sharing our posts
  • Invite your friends
  • Volunteer at the market

Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you next Saturday!
